Abstract

A field experiment was conducted to study the influence of nitrogen and potassium on the edible yield of Co., 1 and Co. 2 Ameranthus, It wes ébostved that the adible matter yield of Co. 1 and Co. 2 Amaranthus wes favourably influenced by the applied. nitrogen whereas the poteesium did not have any marked effact Among the levels of nitrogen, 80 kg N/hs recorded the highest green matter yield followed by 60, 40, 10 kg N/ha and control. This trend was more distinctly observed in Co. 1 Indicating that there is scopo for increasing the yield cf Co, 1 Amaranthus by N application.
