Appeals and Complaints Policy of MAJ
1. Handling Complaints and Appeals
MAJ is committed to addressing all complaints and appeals professionally and transparently. Authors, reviewers, or readers may submit complaints regarding editorial decisions, ethical concerns, or publication practices.
Procedure
- Submit complaints via email to maj@tnau.ac.in
- Mail subject be titled as “MAJ -Appeal/complaint -confidential-reg”
- The Editor-in-Chief will acknowledge receipt within 5 working days.
- A dedicated committee will review and respond within 30 days.
- Appeals against editorial decisions will undergo re-evaluation by independent reviewers.
2. Allegations of Research Misconduct
MAJ strictly adheres to COPE guidelines in addressing misconduct such as plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification.
Procedure
- Reports of misconduct should be emailed to maj@tnau.ac.in
- A Research Integrity Panel will investigate within 4 weeks.
- Proven misconduct will result in retraction or correction of the article.
- Relevant institutions will be notified where necessary.
If the complaint involves the Editor-in-Chief or remains unresolved, it may be escalated to the journal’s management team or Publisher. Contact details for further escalation are available on the journal’s website.
This policy ensures fair and transparent handling of appeals and complaints.
