Abstract

An experiment was conducted at the Government Agricultural Farm. Morena (MP) to study the response of Cotton varieties to nitrogen application under irri- pated conditions in Chambal Command in two Kharif seasons during 1976 and 1977. Results revealed that out of three levels of nitrogen (0. 40 and 80 Kg N/ha) 80 Kg N/ha gave economically higher yield of seed cotton. The highest yield of seed cotton was recorded in variety Bikaneri Nerma, but was at par with other varieties viz. SH 131, C59-228, J-34 and J. 207.
