The duration of anthesis ranged from 30 minutes to 135 minutes. The anther dehiscence was between 4 a. m. and 8 a. m. in guava cultivars with a peak between 5 a. m. to 7 a, m. whereas it was 4 to 9 a, m. in relatives with individual species differing in their peak opening.
