Abstract

The present investigation aims to estimate the extent of heterosis through 'Line X Tester' model in 28 cross combinations for seedling characters such as, germination percentage, shoot lenth (em), root length (cm) and vigour index in cotton G. hirsutum L. The study indicated the possibility of attaining heterotic hybrids for seedling characters.
