On receipt of information that Germany had signed the Peace Treaty, a meeting of the staff and students of the Agricultural College was held on 30th June 1919 to concert measures for cele- brating the peace in a fitting manner. A provisional Committee with power to add was appointed to make necessary arrange- ments. On 2nd July 1919 there was another meeting at I P. M. in the College Hall when Mr. E. Ballard, Mr. Broadfoot and Dr. Norris were introduced to the audience by Mr. McRae
