Abstract

When my friend and General Secretary of the Union, Mr.B.Viswanath, requested me to read a paper before this Conference I readily accepted it as a call to duty. But, it was rather difficult for me to select a subject, for, the time allotted for the paper was only 15minutes and a person like me who has been spending his time almost in retirenment and has not been in touch with research workers and district officers night not be able, I was afraid,to furnish useful information to an uo-to-date audience like the one assembled here to day. However I made up my mind to write something about the "flower Trade in Mdras"with the idea of awakening and stimulating the interest of such successful students as, at the close of their career in this College, wish to launch into practical farming.
