Hockey. In hockey, several Inter class matches were played in all of which class I won. We played 3 matches with Police Recruit School whose Principal, Mr. Furness, has taken enormous pains to coach his men. In the first match, the Police won by 2 goals to one in the second, we won by 2 goals to one; in the third, the Police after a hard fight won by one goal to nil.Our men have a rare combination and dash and we should have done better but for the Police goal keeper who saved a large number of extremely hot and difficult shots.Colours in hockey were given to the following players last month:-Narasimhachari (Captain), Venkatachallam, Gopalan Nair and Sanjiva Rao. During the current month, Colours have been awarded to Vittal Rao and Vridhachalam.
