Messrs. F. R. Parnell and F. C. L. Cowley Brown and Rev. E. E. Berry kindly acted as judges, Messrs. Norton Fagge and Singara Aiyangar as Time keepers and Messrs. H. G. Furness, D. Ananda Row and T. S. Venkataramana Aiyar as starters and all the events mere well contested. One of the most exciting events was the Tug of War in which there were 6 teams compet- ing, when the District Farm staff captained by Mr. D. T. Chad- wick, Director of Agriculture, finally won. Mrs. M. E. Couchman kindly gave away the prizes at the conclusion of the sports and Mr. Wood called for three cheers to Mrs. Couchman which were heartily responded to.
