Abstract

the Indian Soldiers have been allowed to take actual part in the fighting, shoulder to shoulder with the armies of the Colonies and of the European nations, is a source of immense satisfaction to the people of India, although there is a general regret that more of us have not been trained earlier for a military service. His Excellency, Lord Hardinge, on whom, as Viceroy, the duty lay of steering the country in these perilous times, has won the admiration, gratitude and love of the whole country. We once more pray for speedy success for the British arms.
