It has become a practice among careless and indifferent farmers to leave their Cambodia Cotton on the land for more than one season. In some cases crops even three and four years old are seen. Good and careful farmers do not do this. They realize that some other less exhaustive crop should be grown on the land, and they also realize that such old crops are a serious menace to their new cotton crops as they harbour and breed insect pests and disease.
