Abstract

The Director of Agriculture and the Deputy Director of Agri- culture S. Division were at Kaseragod in the latter part of the month, to select a site for a Farm. M. R. Ry. M. Varada Reddy, Landlord Butchireddipaliam, Nellore Dt. writes:-" I have sown Bengal Daincha broadcast in April for green manure for the succeeding paddy crop (as advised by the Agl. Dept). It has grown 15 feet high. It is unpalatable to cattle being thorny. I think the coming paddy crop may yield very luxuriantly, as the Daincha grows. Surely it is in easy reach of the poor as well as of the rich to procure green manure as much as wanted (i. e.) to any extent."
