Drosicha (Monophlebus) mangiferae (stebbingi) (Green,) (Homoptera: Margarodidae) is a serious pest in Northern India, chiefly on mango. During 1959-61, reports of heavy fruitfall in Citrus spp. at Gwalior and some other places in M. P. due to the infestation of this pest called for immediate investigations on its bionomics on citrus to fill the lacunae in our knowledge. The results of these investigations are reported here.
