Abstract


This is a study made on the role of Feasibility Demonstrations in an Extension Programme as adopted by the members of the Agricultural Production Promotion Team of the USAID/University of Tennessee and the Tamil Nadu Agriculture Department at the Agricultural College and Research Institute, Coimbatore. The main objective of the Team is to find out ways and means of developing an Extension Programme to make the farmers in Tamil Nadu aware of the high yield potential of certain varieties, the high outturn they could get by adopting the recommended package of practices and to motivate them to grow high yielding varieties and thereby to augment food production in Tamil Nadu.
