Abstract

A knowledge of the pattern of uptake of essential nutrients by the rice plant at important stages of growth is needed for applying fertilisers judiciously to the crop especially in the context of economising fertiliser use. Such a regulated application of fertilisers will ensure maximum response in yield and quality of the produce.
