A field experiment was conducted to study the efficiency of different weed control measures on the control of white horsenettle in rapi crop. Manual weeding (three times) recorded the highest yield and this was followed by the post-emergence split application of 2, 4-D at 2.0 kg a, i ha applied at 15 and 45 days after planting. Nitrofen and sima. zine each at 0.5 kg a. ilha were neither effective on the weed nor selective on the crop Among the weed control treatments, split application of 2, 4-D gave the maximum net return per rupee invested on weeding.
