A field experiment was conducted with maize Hi-starch under five levels of aval lable soil moisture and uniform doses of N, P and K fartdiners to study the uptake of t P, K, Ca and iron. The results indicated that there was decrease in oercentage of nitro- gan with age of plants and increase with de rose in soil moisture regime. 1ha per centage of P was more in the lower mistura regines and decreases with the maturity of crau. Potash uptake was more in the fower moisture regime and calcium and iron percentage decreases as the orop reaches maturity.
