Studies on the conelation of plant characters of cotton with leathepper (Amrosce biguttula biguttula Ishida) incidence revealed that it was positively correlated at a highly significant level with the plant heigh; and negatively with number of leaves and Internodel length. Correlations between the population and patiole length, area of loaf, number of nodes and viold were not significant. Population of leafhoppers and hopparburn, were positively correlated while hopperburn and yield were negatively correlated indicating that population is not the sole factor contributing to the reduction in yield.
