Abstract

The affect of soil and foliar application of phosphorus at four levels, viz. 20. 40. 6. and 80 kg/ha on Co. 34 rice was studied. The NAR was more at vegetative and tillering stages with higher levels of phosphorus as foliar application. The RGR increased at early stages and thereafter decreased gradually. Medium levels of phosphorus had more influ ence on tiller production, number of grains per panicle and 1000 grain weight. Medium level of 60 kg/ha through soil and 40 kg/ha through foliage recorded high yields of grain and straw.
