Abstract

A soil map of Kovilpatti taluk was prepared to show the extent of occurrence and distribution of the six soil series identified in the taluk. The nature and magnitude of problems associated with these soil series were discussed and measures to achieve success in dryland agriculture through consumptive use of moisture, erosion control measures, improving nutrient status, etc.. ware suggested.
