Abstract

The morpology of the soils of the Agricultural College, Madurai was studied. Occurrence of two soils series viz. Vylogam and Madukkur were identified and described. Textural variation erosion hazard, depth and slope of land were found to influence the characterisation of the two series. A soil map is suggested for efficient management of these soils.
