Abstract

                                Effect of initial moisture content on Kostiakov-Lewis type infiltration equation was studied in a soil in Orissa. The relationship between constant K. exponent, n and initial moisture content, X has been shown in a form of graph. A methematical relation- ship between accumulated depth of infiltration for the period of 30 minutes and moisture content has been developed.
