Correlation and path analysis were studiad in F2 generation of 21 crosses of G. arboreum. Seed cotten yield was positively and significantly associated with plant height sympoola per plant, bolt number and harvest index. Ginning percentage and halolength showed positive association with number of seeds per ball. Path analysis revealed plant height, bell size, number of seeds per boll and harvest index as highest direct contributors to yield while boll number and sympedia per plant Indirectly contri- buted to yield Halolength via boll number, bell size and sympodia per plant and ginning percentage vin seeds per boll, sead index, liat index and harvest index affected the seed cotton yield.
