Abstract

Potato virus Y infection in Chilli did not influence the germination of Colletotrichum capsici (Syd.) Butler and Bisby but the spore germination of Levellluta taurica (Lev.) Arn. was less in the extract from PVY- infected chilli leaves when compared to that of sap from healthy leaves. Prior infection of PVY increased the susceptibility of Chilli. plants to C. capsici.
