Field trials were laid out during summer 1991 and winter 1981-82 with Cotton CV MCU 9 to study the influence of foliar application of urea, diammonium phosphate, urea diammonium phosphate, naphthalene acetic acid and cycocel on the yield and quality of seeds. The results indicated that foliar application of diammónium phosphate at 10% concentration on 70th, 80th and 90th day after sowing increased the seed yield by about 53%. The resultant seed recorded better germination and seedling vigour than those obtained from other treatments.
