Abstract

Rust caused by Puccinia arachidis Speg. is an important foliar disease of ground nut and becomes most serious in warm humid weather conditions. The disease per- patuates through uredospores on self sown plants. It is a serious disease particularly when the crop is attacked at an early stage when the weather condition is favour- able for the pathogen.
