Thirty six genetically diversified clusterbaan [Cyamopsis tetragono loba (Linn.) Taub.) were studied for 10 matric traits during monsoon 1976 for the correlations, path cooffi- cient analysis and genetic diversity. Soed yield/plant showed significant positive corre- lation with number of pods/plant, 100 seed weight, plant height, numder of branches/ plant and number of clusters/plant. Similarly path coefficient analysis indicated the importance of number of pods/plant, 100 seed weight, which had maximum direct effect on sced yield. However, plant haight, number of branches/plant and number of clusters/ plant affected seed yield via pods/plant. Mahalanobis D' statistics was used to assess the genetic diversity among the genotypes which could be grouped in 5 clusters. The distribution of genotypas in different clusters was not according to their places of origin.
