An experiment conducted in pigeonpes under three different date of sowing revealed that the heat unit, efficiency was higher in the February 21 sowing than the June 21 and September 21 sowings. Seed yield had positive and significant association with heat unit efficiency on flowering and harvest stages. This study also suggests that heat unit efficiency can be used as a measure of crop efficiency for heat use under varying agroecological situations.
