Abstract

                                The feeding behaviour of adult mantids Evantissa pulchra (Fabricius). Elmantis trincomaliae (Saussure). Humbertiella ceylonica Saussure and Hierodula sp has been observed. The relationships between the feeding rate and the size of the body, mandi- bles, and the interoviposition periods has been reported.
