Abstract


A Field experiment was conducted to study the effect of FYM and (NH.),SO, on the available nutrient status of soil. The study revealed that the organic carbon content of the soil was increased by the application of FYM and (NH.), SO,. Total N, available N. and P were increased by the increased application of N either as FYM or as (NH),SO, In the FYM treated plots, the total N cantent increased from 0.045 per cent to 0.074 per cent.
