Abstract


Effect of zinc application on yield and the establishment of critical level of zinc in. soil was studied in soils of Coimbatore district in Tamilnadu state. The yield of sorghum, cv CSH. 5 increased significantly by the application ut zinc deficient soils. DIPA extractable zinc at 1.5 ppm was found to be critical level of zinc for calcareous soils of Coimbatore district with regard to sorghum crop.
