Abstract

The effect of soil and foliar application of micronutrients (Mn, Zn and Fe) on two varieties (MDU-1 and CO-3) of onion in black and red soil were studied by a pot experiment. The beneficial effect of soil application of MnSO4 was evidenced, both in yield and quality of onion. Between the two varieties tested, MDU-1 fared better than CO-3 in both the soil types.
