Abstract

In a study on three intervarietal crosses of eggplant in F2 generation, genotypic coefficient of variability was found to be high for fruit yield per plant, number of fruits per plant, fruit length and plant height. High heritability with high genetic gain was noted for these characters indicating the predominant role of additive gene action.
