In the following article contributed to "The Times Educa- tional Supplement" a correspondent discusses the disadvantages from the point of view of testing true culture of holding examina- tions at the end of every stage of education. Though his remarks are primarily applicable to British conditions they convey sonie instructive lessons to us in India also.
