Abstract

Moisture contents obtained indirectly by using the properties of various soil moisture measuring devices-acytelene gas pressure in Rapid Moisture Meter, Electrical Resistance in Bouyoucos Moisture Meter and Neutron back scattering in Neutron Probe - were compared with the moisture contents obtained directly by using the thermogravimetric method as the standard for comparison. Neutron Probe was found to be the best in respect of accuracy and speediness.
