EFFECT OF FUNGICIDES AND INSECTICIDES ON THE GROWTH AND SCLEROTIAL PRODUCTION OF Macrophomina phaseolina (TASSI) GOID.

Abstract

                                The linear growth of Macrophomina phaseolina was inhibited by the fungicides carbendazim, Quintozene, TMTD and the granular insecticides carbofuran and aldicarb. Carbendazim at 100 ppm was fungicidel to M. phaseolina. Sclerotal production of M. phaseolina was totally inhibited by carbendazim and TMTD. But, quintozene and aldicarb were able to only delay the production of sclerotia.
