Abstract

Four male stérile lines were crossed with 19 testers and the resultant 76 hybrids were utilised for correlation and path analysis. The correlation studies showed yield having a strong positive association with earhead weight and plant height. Path analysis revealed earhead weight exerting the highest positive direct effect on grain yield.
