Abstract


Correlation and path coefficient analysis made in 10 Gossypium hirsutum genotypes, 12 G.barbedense accessions, 3 cytosteriles and their isogenic maintainers revealed the importance of number of sympodia and number of bolls per plant to be considered for yield improvement by selection. Shorter duration may tend to reduce the seed cotton yield.
