Abstract

The wolf spider, Lycosa pseudounnulata Boes. et Str. is a potential predator df Bob TRE- hoppers in the tropics. The present research aims at constructing life tables of the predator-undeta simulated conditions, using the cephalothorax width for fixing the nymphal instars. The spider passed through 10 instars to reach the adult stage. Cannibalism was found, to be the most adverse factor affecting the population build up of Lpseudoannulata Only 11.43 per cent of the juveniles could reach the adult stage.
