Abstract

A study was conducted with a sample of 100 farmers selected randomly from Trichy district. Farmers extent of adoption and reasons for non-adoption of Low Cost technologies (LCTs) in paddy were studies. The results indicated that majority of the farmers had medium level of adoption.of LCT in paddy and the major reasons for non- adoption were non-availability of resources, lack of awareness, lack of knowledge on LCTS and non-availability of skilled labour.
