MAJ Author Guidelines

General Instructions

Authors are strictly advised to refer to the Aims & Scope of the journal, Editorial Policies, Publication Ethics, Plagiarism Policy and Retraction Policy of the journal before submitting a manuscript to ensure relevance and quality of the manuscript.

Authors are advised to download the Template of Template of Main File and Title File ormat from the website provided for the ease of understanding MAJ file format.

Article Types Accepted

• Research Articles: Original investigations with novel findings.
• Review Articles: In-depth analyses of existing research.

Manuscript Preparation

1. Title File

• Title (capitalize first letter of significant words)
• Author names and affiliations (no designations)
• Corresponding author details (name, email, address)
• Email addresses, ORCID ID, and LinkedIn ID of all authors

2. Main File

• Title: Capitalize significant words, not prepositions.
• Abstract:
  • Should be brief (max 250 words).
  • Clearly state the research scope, methods, key findings, and conclusions.
  • Do not use abbreviations unless they are unavoidable
• Keywords:
  • List 3 to 6 keywords immediately after the abstract.
  • Each word must be capitalised, italicised and separated by a semicolon.
• Main Manuscript Sections:
  • 1. Introduction
    • Provide a clear problem statement and relevant literature review.
    • Include citations for key references.
    • Data collected must be recent (upto 3 years) to submission.
  • 2.Materials and Method
    • Describe standard methods or provide citations.
    • Highlight any modifications.
    • Use ISI units and standard abbreviations.
    • It must be complete enough to be reproduced.
  • 3.Results & Discussion
    • Present data clearly.
    • Use appropriate figures and tables to support your findings. Position the figures and table near the related content. MAJ encourages the author to present their data in graphical representations.
    • Interpret your findings in relation to previous studies.
  • 4.ConclusionConclude with key takeaways and possible future work.
  • 5.AcknowledgmentsBriefly thank contributors, funding sources, and supporting organizations.

Figures and Tables

• Number tables and figures consecutively as Table 1, Figure 1, etc.
• Use editable table formats (Microsoft Word).
• Figures must be in JPEG or high-resolution images (300 dpi for color, 600 dpi for mono).
• Include clear, descriptive captions for all tables and figures at the end of the manuscript.

Nomenclature and Units

• Italicize scientific names (e.g., Azadirachta indica).
• Write full genus and species names on first mention; abbreviate genus name subsequently (e.g., A. indica)
• Use ISI units consistently.

References and Citations

• In-text citation:
  • Single author: (Smith, 2020)
  • Two authors: (Smith & Jones, 2020)
  • Three or more authors: (Smith et al., 2020)
  • Multiple references: (Smith, 2018; Jones, 2020) in chronological order.

Reference List Formatting

Use a hanging indent. Arrange alphabetically.

• DOI formatting:
  • The DOI numbers must be used in reference lists when they are available.
  • Includes https and the prefix doi.org (https://doi.org/) before each DOI number and No full stop should be used at the end of a DOI.
  • Example: https://doi.org/10.29321/MAJ.10.001093

Manuscript Submission

• Manuscripts should be submitted via the Online Submission Portal only

Peer Review Process

• Submissions are initially screened by the editorial office.
• Suitable manuscripts are sent for external peer review by at least two reviewers.

Ethics and Policies

• Originality and Plagiarism: Ensure submissions are original. Appropriately cite any reused content. Plagiarism in all its forms is unethical and unacceptable.
• Ethics Statement: If no human or animal subjects were involved, state: No specific permits were required for field studies as no human or animal subjects were involved.
• Consent for PublicationAll authors have agreed to the publication of this content.
• Conflict of Interest: Declare potential conflicts; if none, state: "There are no conflicts of interest."
• Data Availability: Include a statement confirming data availability.

Formatting

• Use 12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced text, with numbered pages starting from the title page.
• Maintain margins and layout as per the provided journal template
• Do not collapse the template header & footer content, alignment.etc.,
