The new terraced building of the Officer's Club was opened by Mr. R. C. Wood on 21st August 1914 in the presence of all the members of the staff and the students. Rai Bahadur K. Rangachari, President of the Club and Mr. B. V. Nath, Secretary, in requesting the Principal to open the building, gave an account of how the Club was able to con- struct a building of its own. The Government, through the reeom- mendation of the Principal and Director of Agriculture, kindly gave a grant of Rs. 360 towards the building which cost nearly Rs. 1500 in the end. The difference represents the amount subscribed as a donat by the several members, usually one-fourth of the monthly sal Messrs. Rai Bahadur K. Rangachariar, J. The work was entrusted to a building committ if ho completed the work as economically and satisfactorily as possibl The thanks of the members are due to Mr. Tiruvengadaswam Paidu, P. W. D. contractor who gave a large quantity of bricks, se gratis and some at cost price. After the ceremony of opening pos ch the al Principal did in a few well chosen words, sweets were dist ted and Rar the audience was entertained by that clever, young Milegician of Coimbatore, Venugopal Rao.
