Copper Nutrition of Millets (Part II)

Abstract

At a higher concentra- tion of copper about 20 ppm, chlorotic striations in the leaves were developed to a marked degree when the experiment was conducted in sand cultures. Similar striations were noted at 5 ppm. concentration in solution cultures. This chlorotic pattern, resembling iron deficiency was characteristic which was studied by Chapman et al (1939) elsewhere while studying antagonism between iron and copper. The observations fall in line with those of Willis and Pilland (1934) on corn.
